By Graham "GSM" Matthews Seth Rollins def. Goldust I continue be blown away by just how impressive Goldust has been since returning to WWE last month. He holds his own in all of his matches and consistently puts forth a strong effort, which was the case in his match with Rollins. The action was pretty good while it lasted, but the finish felt anticlimactic. Nonetheless, it was a nice win for Rollins that helped give The Shield momentum going into the tag title match on Sunday. The Real Americans def. The Prime Time Players These two teams work well together and had a nice match here, but it could have used more time to feel somewhat meaningful. The Real Americans needed the win more considering the fact they are currently feuding with Los Matadores, but it is a shame the Prime Time Players are no longer being pushed. They came up short of winning the tag titles at Night of Champions last month and it has all been downhill since then, but I surely hope they will reinserted in the championship picture sooner rather than later.

By Graham "GSM" Matthews Big Show Interrupted Triple H and Stephanie McMahon This was a standard segment for the most part that didn't feature much out of the ordinary. We have been seeing the same thing from Show, HHH and Stephanie for weeks now, but this was a logical follow-up to the conclusion of last week's Raw. Show appearing on the Titantron despite being "fired" was strange, but Stephanie questioned that later in the show, so perhaps there is reasoning behind it after all. By the way, the "fired" Show showing up every week on Raw reminds me of when John Cena did the same thing a few weeks back, and this angle isn't any less asinine. Daniel Bryan def. United States Champion Dean Ambrose (Non-title) Bryan vs. Ambrose is just one of those matches that will never cease to entertain me no matter how many times it is done. I say that because we have seen these two face two several time in recent months, but it didn't matter much. This match was basically a tune-up for Bryan going into his WWE title match on Sunday, but it still featured some exciting action. They work so well together, so I am glad they received as much time as they did. I am usually not high on the mid-card champions losing non-title matches, but Ambrose looked strong enough in defeat that I will excuse it this one time. By Graham "GSM" Matthews BroMans def. Eric Young & Joesph Park, Bad Influence, and Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez in a Gauntlet Match to Become the No. 1 Contenders to the World Tag Team Championships I have seen enough Gauntlet matches in the recent months to say me for the next decade, so I can't say I was all that excited for this match going in. However, the four teams managed to piece together a good match. Weren't Chavo and Hernandez feuding with James Storm and Gunner a month ago? I am glad they didn't win here, but it was odd for that to even happen to begin with. Bad Influence should have won in my opinion, but at least we ended up getting them later on in the show. Young and Park were protected (why?) via the attack from Bad Influence and BroMans picked up the "shocking" win. The pre-show was well done, but I can't imagine it sold many pay-per-view buys. Chris Sabin def. Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Manik and Austin Aries in an Ultimate X Match to Win the X-Division Championship There were several cool spots from various competitors, but this match definitely didn't live up to my high expectations (which would be a common theme throughout the show). I was initially angered this match was kicking off the show given the fact four out of five of the combatants were former world champions, but the flat finish made me reconsider. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact Sabin captured the title and is the new champion, but seriously, none of the four other wrestlers could have stopped Sabin from reaching the belt? At least Sabin winning back the gold puts Aries in chase mode and allows them to feud. By Carson Koschik Like most members of the IWC, I think I know better than a multi-billion dollar company when it comes to booking wrestling shows. Also like most members of the IWC, I write about the things I think I know better about for a generally small (emphasis on small) audience. But since I've gotten bored of writing the same old predictions and reviews, I've decided I'm going to criticize (or give a big ol' thumbs up) creative plans that WWE are allegedly going to do. When I say allegedly, I mean that every thing I talk about in this article are things that dirt sheets say the WWE is reportedly planning on doing. Since dirt sheets are pretty hit and miss, everything I say they are planning is possible just misinformation. But hey, I need something to do on the weekend that isn't playing GTA or masturbating, so I'm going to go ahead and write what I please. Take that small demographic of people that actually read my stuff! Damien Sandow turning face? According to some reports, it seems as if WWE is planning on turning Damien Sandow face. If this is true, I can only say one thing. Please don't. There is no way to make Sandow's character work as a fan favourite. But hey, I said the same thing about Miz's face turn, and look how successful that's been so far! If WWE does go ahead and turn the Intellectual Savior face, there is only two ways that it can be done. You can either a) put him back in the Easter Bunny suit or b) give his fans a name. Kind of like how John has the Cenation or how Christian has his peeps. They can be called Sandow's washed mass. Anyways, a Sandow face turn is a bad idea overall, especially if we want to get that continuation of the Rhodes/Sandow feud a lot of people have been craving. Although the idea of having the Easter Bunny face off against Del Rio is pretty tempting... |
