By Graham "GSM" Matthews Mr. McMahon Called Out Roman Reigns Was it just me or did the early part of this encounter come off as awkward? We all know Reigns is a part of the legendary Anao'i Family, but the shots Vince took at his father and grandfather went over the heads of most viewers because they don't know them as well. The crowd was too busy chanting for Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, anyway, so it wasn't as if it mattered. I'm glad Reigns isn't backing down from The Authority, but it would help if he was more aggressive instead of smarmy. The rest of the segment, however, was very well done. It's about time the McMahons got their comeuppance and Vince getting arrested was a hell of a hook for the rest of the show. Neville def. Kevin Owens It was bad enough they didn't bother to give Owens any mic time much less an entrance, but to have him lose to Neville in a matter of 15 seconds was absolutely asinine. No, I'm not complaining simply because Owens lost, but in 15 seconds? To Neville? Come on, that's like the kiss of death. And it doesn't make a difference if Neville is the Breakout Star of the Year. It's been evident for months WWE has no plans to push him, but if they do, I'll eat my words. Until then, what a waste this was. He got some of his heat back with the attack afterward, but there's no chance he'll be in a marquee match at WrestleMania if he's losing that quickly. Fans will start to take him less and less seriously if this continues.

By Graham "GSM" Matthews WWE confirmed earlier today that The Rock will be appearing at WrestleMania 32 on April 3 in Arlington, TX. With WWE wanting to make this the biggest (and potentially greatest) WrestleMania of all-time, it comes as no surprise they would call in The Great One to draw a few extra eyes to the company's grandest show of the year. The announcement comes after it was heavily rumored he might not appear at the event at all due to having previous obligations to acting and his agents not wanting to take the risk of him getting hurt. And yes, this is a legitimate concern, especially considering his last two WrestleMania matches with John Cena in 2012 and 2013, respectively, ended with him suffering injuries. In fact, filming for Hercules was almost delayed in the spring of 2013 because he was still recovering from a torn abdominal muscle among other things from the 'Mania match. He hasn't competed since. So, his agents can be blamed for wanting to keep him out of the ring next April. But the door was still open for him to make a non-wrestling appearance, and that looks to be the case come the Show of Shows. By RJ Marceau This year's Slammy awards show was disappointing. Most winners weren’t the right people and the show featured tons of rematches. The Slammys aren’t the most prestigious awards but the WWE Universe has failed to award the right winners. Here are the 6 top awards and whom the WWE Universe chose compared to who I thought should have won. |
