If the recent crowning of the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar is any indication, it can only mean one thing for WWE: Legitimacy. This doesn't seem to be the reaction from many fans, though who thought there wasn't enough wrestling action in the SummerSlam main-event. Sure, the match was a little slow, and wasn't anything like Brock's encounter with Punk at the previous SummerSlam event, but it was different.
It seemed to me, a little more real. It seemed, at times more like an actual fight, not a wrestling match. Sometimes that's what we need. Sometimes we need something different. WWE realizes they need to be different. We've seen John Cena as champion plenty times before, but Brock Lesnar as champion is intriguing. Brock is intriguing, he's unpredictable. Lesnar's background in UFC makes him legitimate, because he proved he's not just your average wrestler. Brock, unlike most others brings that sense of reality to the ring.
