This article will be the first of my weekly editions of match of the week. Each week leading up to a WWE PPV I will highlight one match that you should go back and watch on the WWE Network. Survivor Series is two weeks away and if you're looking for an absolute brawl then look no further then my favorite PPV of all time, Survivor Series '03. The match of the week is Kane vs. Shane McMahon in an Ambulance Match. This match featured literally zero in ring action due to Shane cross bodying Kane over the top rope before the match even started.
The story of this match was based around Kane attacking Linda McMahon. Shane came out on the next week of Raw and knocked Kane off the stage, which he set up. Shane kicked Kane into a dumpster on fire and set a limo with Kane in it into a 18 wheeler. Kane kept coming back and even electrocuted Shane’s testicles. Shane McMahon faced Kane at Unforgiven in a Last Man Standing match, which Shane jumped off the titantron, and Kane moved out of the way. Shane went through the staging and Kane won. Shane came back swinging at Kane, which led to this Ambulance match at Survivor Series.
This match saw numerous amazing spots throughout the match. Shane McMahon flew off the top rope with an elbow drop on Kane through the Spanish announce table, Shane backed into Kane with an SUV through the security guard compost, Shane hitting Coast to Coast off the top of the ambulance onto Kane and the final big moment with Kane hitting Shane with a vicious tombstone on the entrance ramp.
Kane came out on top in this bout but Shane O’Mac showed resiliency and determination against the Big Red Machine. This match is nowhere near a 5 star in ring classic but if you want to see a great brawl this is the perfect match.
