On Monday, it was confirmed that WrestleMania 33 will return to Orlando, FL, 9 years after hosting WrestleMania 24 at the Citrus Bowl. It’s safe to say that Orlando has become the home away from home for the WWE with them developing the WWE Performance Center in Orlando as well as NXT. It’s been reported the WWE will design a physical Hall of Fame on the Universal City Walk. The WWE attempted a similar idea with The World at Time Square in New York City about 10 years ago, which was a financial nightmare. I think with the WWE setting up shop in Orlando the new Hall of Fame will be successful.
The announcement of WrestleMania 33 going back to the Sunshine State got me really excited because with WrestleMania 24 and 28 being held in Orlando and Miami both these shows were great and I believe the outdoor arenas and the settings portray the laid back and party feel for an event like WrestleMania.
The WWE skipped over Minnesota’s brand new U.S. Bank Stadium but I believe they may be waiting for WrestleMania 34 because that is when I believe Brock Lesnar’s contract is up and he can go into the Hall of Fame and retire in his home state.
After not going to WrestleMania 32 I am itching to go to WrestleMania 33. Florida is a lot easier to get to and I know people in Florida so lodging wouldn’t be expensive if I wanted to enjoy all the festivities. As of right now I am planning on going to WrestleMania 33 and hopefully will be an amazing show like WrestleMania 24 and WrestleMania 28.
