Dolph Ziggler def. Adam Rose
Anyone who saw the E:60 special recently has to feel some sort of apathy toward Rose and the way they're using him right now. This pairing with Rosa Mendes has no legs and it's obvious that despite his best efforts, it's just not working. At the very least, he's still a talented in-ring worker and he and Ziggler had a nice match while it lasted. The "couple supremacy" bit was basic, yet it made the match more than just a random one-off. Are we going to see more of Lana accompanying Ziggler to ringside for the next few months until Rusev returns from injury?
Paige def. Alicia Fox
If you weren't already convinced the Divas division was in a poor state right now, watch this match. Both Paige and Fox tried hard to have a good match, and it was passable for the most part, but the live crowd couldn't have cared less. Paige is over, sure, but what about Fox? Crowds haven't been given any incentive to care for her whatsoever. She's turned one too many times for fans to connect with her, and I'm not sure whether she's babyface or heel anymore.
King Barrett def. Jack Swagger
Barrett and Swagger had a solid outing, but it's a shame most of the match was overshadowed by the distractions on commentary, specifically R-Truth. You can't honestly tell me that Barrett feuding with Truth is going to do anyone any favors. They had their "fun" on the road to WrestleMania, and while its logical for Truth to lay claim to being the king because he's beaten Barrett twice recently, it might be wiser to get him as far from Truth as possible. I'm disappointed more hasn't come from Barrett being the King of the Ring, but I blame myself for actually believing they were going to use him the right way this time around.
I was glad they there were more storyline-oriented angles on this show than the usual nothing matches, though I can't say I enjoyed this episode particularly more than usual. The matches were mostly solid, but the convoluted commentary with R-Truth and Jimmy Uso didn't help at all. It's nice we were treated to more star power than usual with Paige, Barrett and Ziggler, but I wouldn't recommend watching this show because nothing of note came out of it.
