Ryback def. Fandango
It didn't dawn on me until this match but I might actually like Ryback's run as a heel if he's booked properly. Although he's traditionally been a better babyface, I saw shades of his short-lived Skip Sheffield character here. No, not when he was acting like a cowboy on NXT, but rather when he was the dominant badass in The Nexus. That's the type of aggression I want from Ryback going forward and we got a small taste of that here in this squash match. Fandango scored more offense than I would have liked, but otherwise it was a decent tune-up for The Big Guy before his United States Championship match at WrestleMania.
Similar to this week's Superstars, only one match was taped for Main Event because it was taped before Raw on Monday night. The rest of the show was filled with Raw replays and WrestleMania video packages, so you'd be wasting your time by tuning in to this episode. Ryback vs. Fandango was nothing special, but at least it didn't overstay its welcome and served something of a purpose.
