Dolph Ziggler def. Aiden English
We haven't received many notable names on Main Event since the start of the Brand Split, so seeing Ziggler make an appearance was a pleasant surprise. What was even better was that he wasn't facing someone he's gone up against a million times, so this was a fun little match while it lasted. The Vaudevillians' act has been dead in the water for a while now, but English can still go in the ring and he held his own here very well.
Jack Swagger def. Jinder Mahal
Unfortunately, this was the exact opposite of the previous match in that I've seen this match more times than I can count since Mahal's return to the company and it's the same damn match every time. It was a nothing bout due it being mere minutes long, but that might have been for the better so it didn't overstay its welcome. But my biggest question is why a Raw match was held on SmackDown Live's Main Event? Ugh.
Although it's difficult for me to bring myself to care about Ziggler as a serious threat to any title in WWE these days, he's excellent at being a prelim guy like we saw on this show, and his match with English was all right. Meanwhile, Swagger vs. Mahal was more of the same from them and obviously nothing noteworthy, so you're likely better off skipping this show.
