Thomas Latimer and Danny Deals Interrupted Tim StormStorm has been feuding with Strictly Business for a while now, so I thought their face-off here would lead to a match on this show. Instead, the seeds were planted once again before Danny Deals confronted Storm, who was adamant about exacting revenge against Deals for mocking Momma Storm a few weeks ago. Deals then brought out Jax Dane, the man Storm beat for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship back in 2015. If Storm can beat Dane, he'll get five minutes with Deals. Ricky Starks def. NWA Television Champion Ricky Starks and Matt Cross in a Three-Way Match (Non-Title)Starks has had entertaining matches with both of these guys over the past month, so unsurprisingly, this three-way was fun. They all had quality chemistry together and kept the pace going nicely. Cross hasn't scored many victories so far in the NWA, but at least he never ceases to deliver. Dice pinned Starks and earned himself another one-on-one shot at the Television title next week on Powerrr. Joe Galli Interviewed NWA National Champion Aron Stevens; Trevor Murdoch def. The Question MarkI love Stevens' new "Shooter" nickname. He's found a character that works and it's been a blast to watch. The crowd ate up the entire promo and Galli also played his role remarkably well. I loved their interaction. The match that followed between Murdoch and Question Mark wasn't long at all, but it didn't need to be. Murdoch has been in hot pursuit of Stevens' National title for weeks, so it made sense for him to score a quick win and get ambushed by Stevens afterward. Marty Scurll and Brody King Brawled with Villain EnterprisesAldis continues to bring his best on the mic every time he has to cut a promo. The issue is that because he's so good, the crowd tends to turn in his favor like they did here. Putting that aside, this was awesome stuff. Scurll was intense and challenged Aldis to an impromptu match on this show. Obviously, Aldis declined and led an attack on Scurll instead. That brought out King and the two factions went to war. Look for Villain Enterprises to meet The Wild Cards in tag team action on an upcoming episode. The Bouncers Attacked Eddie KingstonKingston and The Pope are two of the very best talkers in the NWA right now (let alone in all of wrestling), so their verbal exchange was excellent as expected. Kingston said it was time for him and Pope to finally go it, but Pope revealed he paid off The Bouncers, who then unleashed an assault on Kingston. This was a nice swerve as it effectively furthers the feud between Kingston and Pope without having them go one-on-one yet. Hopefully Homicide is good to go soon and we can see Outlaw Inc. vs. The Bouncers. NWA Worlds Women's Champion Thunder Rosa def. Melina by Count-OutMelina was the one who demanded that this match be made in the first place, so I have no idea why she would just walked away when the bell rang. Of course, I'm sure she'll explain herself soon, but either way, I'm happy they didn't give the matchup away at this point when it can still be saved for down the line (maybe at the Crockett Cup?). Allysin Kay prevented Melina from leaving the ring, but before she could get her hands on her, Kamille hit the ring and laid Kay out. Could Kamille vs. Rosa for the title be where they're headed? Overall ShowI can understand what they were trying to do with the "main event," but it seemed silly for them to build that up for an entire week only for it to never get started. Other than that, I thought this was an enjoyable edition of Powerrr. The stuff with Storm, Deals and Dane didn't light the world on fire, but the promo segments with Aldis, Scurll, Stevens, Kingston and Pope were terrific and made the 50 minutes worthwhile. I liked how Starks vs. Dice for the NWA Television Championship and The Bouncers vs. James Storm and Eli Drake were announced in advance for next week's show.
