Coast to Coast def. The Kingdom
This marked Coast to Coast's return to ROH TV after one of the members was sidelined with an injury for a few months. They were on quite the roll in the first half of 2018, so it was nice to see them pick up where they left off in an enjoyable outing with The Kingdom, in addition to picking up the victory. The Kingdom's loss (especially when you consider how the commentators played up how the legal man wasn't pinned) made sense as they continue to claim they are "conspiracy victims."
Shane "Hurricane" Helms def. Marty Scurll
I liked the first match Scurll and Helms had recently a lot and this was an equally entertaining encounter. I don't know what Helms' deal is like with Ring of Honor and whether he's signed at all, but it's cool to see him making the rounds in wrestling (he served as a guest coach at the WWE Performance Center not too long ago, too). He's not in the greatest shape of his career, but he can still go in the ring and the crowd was very much behind him here. I found this to be a fun match while it lasted. While it was questionable for Helms to go over, I assume it was done to set up a rubber matchup in the near future.
Cheeseburger def. Will Ferrara in a Fight Without Honor Match
These two have had bad blood for a year and a half, and although they took a bit of a break from the feud a while back, they rekindled their rivalry on this show just to blow it off in the biggest way possible. These types of matches are usually extreme and this was no exception. Granted, it pitted two lower-level enhancement guys against each other and there was nothing at stake, but it was a good match nonetheless where they made the most of the stipulation. Cheeseburger winning decisively should put their rivalry to rest once and for all.
I'm not sure how much longer it will be before we start getting fallout from September's Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view, but hopefully it begins next week. At any rate, this was a solid show all things considered. The main event was more of a treat than an actual wrestling classic, Helms vs. Scurll was a blast as well, and Coast to Coast vs. The Kingdom kicked this off on a high note. From a wrestling standpoint, this was a quality edition of ROH TV.
