Noam Dar def. TJP
I've enjoyed the series of matches these two have had over the past month and this was another solid match from them. It was well-wrestled and they made the most of the time they were allotted. Unfortunately, it was dragged down by Wale's awful, awful commentary. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, and perhaps WWE wanted to give him a shot at it, but he failed miserably, so here's hoping he isn't brought back. Nevertheless, with this win, Dar can now move on to something new.
Akira Tozawa vs. Colin Delaney Went to a no Contest
Before the bout was set to take place, both guys were ambushed by Drew Gulak, Gentleman Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick. Gulak then ran down Cedric Alexander in an attempt to convince him to give him a championship rematch after losing at SummerSlam. I love Alexander's intensity here, and although Drake Maverick originally denied the request of a rematch, I'm sure Alexander will do something to make it happen. This angle was well done.
Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado def. Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese in a Tornado Tag Team Match
If you were wondering what the Cruiserweights are capable of when they aren't limited by the WWE system, here you go. This was an absolutely incredible match with a frantic pace, exhilarating action, and an electric audience to boot. It's rare 205 Live has a great crowd like this, but Brooklyn brought it and gave these guys the reaction they deserved. The Tornado tag stipulation allowed them to go all out and, ultimately, it was a masterpiece. This has to be up there as one of the best 205 Live main events ever.
Well, I officially regret not sticking around for 205 Live after the SmackDown Live taping ended. In my defense, I had to catch an early train and be back by a certain time, so I couldn't stay even if I wanted to, but the lesson learned here is to never miss out on 205 Live if you have the chance because you never know what you might get. This show was fantastic with a good opener, Alexander and Gulak furthering their feud, and a must-see main event. Wale was a waste on commentary, but this was an excellent episode otherwise.
