Tony Nese and Buddy Murphy def. Kalisto and Lince Dorado
Kalisto and Nese showed a few weeks ago with their one-on-one encounter that they have nice chemistry together, and this was an even better bout with Dorado and Murphy involved. It had the perfect pace and the crowd was invested in the action. The Lucha House Party always knows how to have the most entertaining tag team match possible and that was certainly the case here. With the heels emerging victorious via nefarious means, the rivalry will continue.
Noam Dar def. Sean Maluta
Maluta was involved in the very first main event in the Cruiserweight Classic two years ago and has been brought back on occasion since then for enhancement matches such as this one. I'm actually surprised he hasn't been signed by this point considering how talented he is. Nevertheless, this was a great showcase for Dar, and it looks like his feud with TJP is not yet over based off how TJP was watching his matchup from the back. Plus, I loved the pre-match video package that aired for Dar focusing on his return to the ring, giving viewers a reason to care about him in the process.
Hideo Itami def. Mustafa Ali
Ali recently had a hospital stay for an undisclosed injury and I loved how that was incorporated into this match as well. It was an awesome combination of the two having an excellent match as well as telling the story that Ali wasn't 100 percent. As a result, Itami took advantage of that and was more aggressive than usual in his assault on him. It was almost uncomfortable to watch at times, but in the best way possible. They made the most of the 16 minutes that had to work with and I'm sure we'll be seeing more matches from them based off the finish to this, which I'm looking forward to.
Man, 205 Live just keeps killing it every single week. This was a terrific jam-packed show with multiple matches being set up for next week (Cedric Alexander vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Akira Tozawa vs. Lio Rush), Dar getting back on track, the tag team feud being furthered by way of an enjoyable opener, and Ali and Itami telling a tremendous story in the main event. This was everything you could possibly ask for out of an edition of 205 Live.
