5/15/2018 0 Comments WWE 205 Live Review - May 15, 2018Tyler Bate def. TJP, Kenny Williams and Kalisto in a Fatal 4-Way MatchNo, there was nothing on the line in this match, but there didn't need to be. It simply served to entertain the audience and succeeded in that respect. I didn't know a single thing about Williams coming into this contest, but he impressed me with the showing he had and he immediately won me over when the commentators mentioned he was inspired by Back to the Future. The in-ring action was excellent and everyone had their time to shine. Bate has been on a bit of losing streak lately (at least in WWE), so it was smart to have him pick up the victory here. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and "Flash" Morgan Webster def. Drew Gulak, Joseph Conners and James DrakeWebster was another individual who I wasn't familiar with whatsoever, but he looked good here and took a hell of a beating. He was even bleeding from the mouth at one point but carried on, anyway. Meanwhile, and I might be in the minority on this, but Conners and Drake do absolutely nothing for me. This was a fairly standard six-man tag team match on the whole that didn't truly pick up until the end, and those final few minutes were fun. Overall Show205 Live opted to do a something a little different than usual by bringing some U.K. talent and having them compete against and alongside the stars of the Cruiserweight division. No storylines were furthered on this episode, mind you, but the two matches were well-wrestled and enjoyable. Next week, Akira Tozawa and Hideo Itami will go one-on-one and Alexander and Buddy Murphy will finally clash for the Cruiserweight Championship in two weeks.
