Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann def. Noam Dar and Tony Nese
Alexander and Swann have made for a fun tandem over the last week considering their chemistry together and I'd love to see them get a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championship. Unfortunately, WWE will probably relegate them to the Cruiserweight division forever, which is a shame. At any rate, this was a well-wrestled match with a nice pace to it. It wasn't quite as good as the Cruiserweight tag team match from TLC, but I enjoyed it for what it was.
Drew Gulak def. Gran Metalik
As I've said before, Gulak's PowerPoint presentation shtick has (surprisingly) gotten over big with me and his pre-match promo here was entertaining as always. I assumed Akira Tozawa would interrupt him, but I'm glad that was saved until afterward and that feud was dragged out a little longer. Gulak and Metalik contested a solid match that led to a credible victory for Gulak.
Kalisto def. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore by Disqualification
The title match between Kalisto and Enzo did nothing for me at TLC and this was somehow even worse. It's not that they don't have quality chemistry together, it's that Enzo is an awful wrestler and he is only passable when he's involved in a stipulation match of some kind. Additionally, fans couldn't care less about Kalisto, so this matchup had zero heat to it and the lame finish didn't help matters, either, ensuring this feud continues for another few more weeks at the very least.
The first two matches were pretty decent, but the show centered around that WWE Cruiserweight Championship and it was below-average. Kalisto vs. Enzo for the title is not the answer to WWE's problems with this division. All things considered, it was a middle-of-the-road edition of 205 Live, but there isn't anything I would recommend you should go out of your way to watch.
