The Miz def. Dolph Ziggler
It was actually just a little over three years ago that Ziggler and Miz had arguably the best match in the history of this program. Granted, this match didn't come close, but it was much better than the average viewer might think because they have great chemistry together. They proved that with the enjoyable back-and-forth action in this bout, especially down the stretch. I also liked how Tyler Breeze was present at ringside, thus furthering his feud with Ziggler, which isn't something you often see on this show. I could have done without Miz winning only because he's a glorified loser at this point, and Breeze lost to Ziggler on Raw.
Sasha Banks def. Alicia Fox
I care less and less about Fox the longer she's around. She's the epitome of just being "there" and not doing anything of note. Nothing against her in-ring ability, which is decent, but she serves no purpose these days. That said, she and Banks had a fine little match in the time they were allotted. While I'm glad Banks is scoring wins consistently, it'd be nice to see her showcased more on Monday nights and instead of being relegated to Main Event every week.
Ryback def. Bo Dallas
On paper, you'd think this would have been a standard squash match, and while it was to an extent, I appreciated how they switched it up a bit. Dallas scored a few more hope spots than he typically does, but ultimately, the ending outcome was no different. Ryback continued his recent winning streak, but I'd like to see him get involved in something meaningful soon. And no, that doesn't mean rekindling his rivalry with Rusev from earlier in the year.
Titus O'Neil def. Stardust
This is a feud that has been building for a few weeks now on WWE TV, so it wasn't completely random. As great of a person he is outside the ring, I've never been high on O'Neil as a worker, but Stardust carried him to a competent match here. I don't think it was befitting of the final match slot, but it was decent for what it was and it gave O'Neil a nice win.
I was surprised to see more effort put into Main Event than usual, making it a solid show on the whole. Miz and Ziggler put together a fun match in the opening slot that easily won the award for match of the night. The women's match was all right but could have been better considering the competitors, the squash match was quick and painless and the main event was passable, so it's an easy hour to digest this week with a few feuds furthered as well.
