Natalya def. Tamina
It's amazing how less important Natalya feels compared to six months or so ago. Granted, she's never done much for me anyway, but she's rarely on Raw these days and seems to be facing the same two women (Tamina and Sarah Logan) on on Main Event. This was pretty much what you'd expect it to be with Natalya carrying Tamina to a passable match. Honestly, the only good thing I can say about it was that Natalya won.
Robert Roode def. Heath Slater
Not only has Slater barely been on Raw on 2019, I don't think I've seen much of him on Main Event, either. He's largely been laying low since Rhyno requested his release back earlier this year, but it's a shame that affected him, too. Roode, meanwhile, has been completely directionless since the Superstar Shake-up. Slater scored more offense than I thought he would and came close to winning on a few occasions before ultimately falling to Roode. This was fun while it lasted yet nothing you need to go out of your way to see.
You can usually count on Main Event for at least one solid match, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case this week. Natalya vs. Tamina was totally forgettable and Roode vs. Slater was a glorified squash. You can skip right over those in addition to the SmackDown Live and Raw replays, as neither show was terribly exciting this week. In other words, don't waste your time with this edition of Main Event.
