Curtis Axel def. Jack Swagger
Axel and Swagger are two very good workers, and while this wasn't the most exciting match I've ever seen, the crowd was at least somewhat into it given who was involved. Swagger, although he's been horribly misused since turning babyface, is still over with audiences, whereas Axel has organically won over the crowd with his Axelmania shtick. Their match was the most well wrestled one on the show and Axel winning was a pleasant surprise (his first victory since the Royal Rumble according to the commentators), so that alone warrants a thumbs up from me.
Naomi def. Alicia Fox
While I give credit to AJ Lee, Paige and The Bella Twins for improving the state of the Divas division in the last month or so, there's still plenty of women in the division that WWE isn't doing anything with, including Naomi and Fox. They're two incredible athletes that deserve to be on the main shows more often, and hopefully in time they will. They worked a pretty nice matchup with good showings from both women, even with the time they were allotted. Fox had her time, but I hope Naomi will be in Divas Championship contention before long.
Zack Ryder def. Adam Rose
I know WWE gets lazy with booking fresh matches for WWE Main Event and Superstars, but it's ridiculous how many times we've seen this match in the last month or so. They never switch it up, either, so that never helps. It thankfully didn't overstay its welcome, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. It just feels like they're working a house show loop, yet they're televising yet. I want WrestleMania to be here just so this "rivalry" will reach its end.
Ryback def. The Miz
This wasn't anything different from what we've been seeing on Raw and SmackDown lately with this being mostly a one-sided squash in Ryback's favor. They had a fun dynamic with the crowd heavily behind Ryback and Miz getting heat on himself, but the match itself wasn't anything of note. It was another solid win for Ryback as he heads into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal as the fan favorite.
None of the four featured matches were bad, but we've seen them all before and for that reason, they fell flat for me, making this a very forgettable show on the whole. Three of the four matches had to do with a match at WrestleMania 31 that hardly anyone cares about, but at least the Divas were given some time to shine during the show. That said, there isn't anything from this edition that I would recommend you should go out of your way to catch.
