Natalya def. Tamina
Byron Saxton brought up on commentary how Natalya was actually Tamina's first rival when she made her main roster debut nearly nine years ago. I can't believe that Tamina's been with the company for almost a decade now and has only regressed in the ring. She'll likely continue to flounder on her own until Nia Jax returns from injury later this year. As for this match, it was pretty passable but largely thanks to Natalya. Tamina did nothing to impress me.
Cedric Alexander def. EC3
There is so much talent on the Raw roster yet the company doesn't know what to do with half of it. Look no further than Alexander and EC3, who deserve so much better than what they're getting right now. These two met in a fun match on Main Event a few weeks ago that was won by Alexander, so EC3 was out for redemption here. They contested another enjoyable encounter, though I'm sure they could do even better with more time and a more invested crowd.
Sam Roberts returned to do commentary for this episode and he was once again decent, not taking away from the action at all but not adding anything, either. As for the two featured matches, they were perfectly fine. Natalya vs. Tamina was fairly formulaic but Alexander vs. EC3 was solid while it lasted Meanwhile, Raw and SmackDown Live were slightly better than usual this week coming off Money in the Bank, so in case you missed the fallout from the pay-per-view, feel free to check those replays out.
