Enzo Amore and Big Cass def. The Vaudevillians
The pre-match verbal exchange between the two teams was well done and it was nice for them to touch upon how it was The Vaudevillians who put Enzo out of action with a concussion last month at Payback instead of leaving it to the announcers to mention on commentary. That said, I would have saved their first match against each other until it meant more. In other words, I wouldn't have wasted it on Main Event. The match was actually pretty good and the crowd was engaged in the action, but I would have rather held off on their first match since Payback until later down the line.
Zack Ryder def. Viktor
We saw this match on Superstars last week and this was virtually no different. I commend Ryder for always putting forth a strong effort in every one of his outings, regardless of who his opponent is, but Viktor is just beyond boring. The "demonic" face paint is kickass, but obviously, he won't be on the receiving end of a push on his own, nor should he be. I don't see much changing when Konnor comes back from suspension, either.
Sasha Banks def. Summer Rae
I give Summer credit for trying to cut a passable promo, but her mic work here was deplorable. She was stumbling over her words and when the commentators are laughing over her material (which was unintentionally funny), you know it's bad. Thankfully, Banks was much better and they contested a pretty good match. As the commentators made mention of, this was Banks' first televised in-ring outing since mid-April and she hasn't lost a step at all. I know fans are upset with her lack of television time as of late, but I'm completely content with it because when she does eventually resurface in storylines, it will pack more of a punch as opposed to if she was around yet doing nothing until eventually re-entering the WWE Women's Championship picture in time for SummerSlam.
Dolph Ziggler checked in on commentary during the main event, and although he was amusing at times, he was largely a distraction and took away from the match. As for the show itself, it was an enjoyable episode on the whole. Ryder vs. Viktor served zero purpose, but the tag team match was a blast and the women's match was well-wrestled. It's also cool to see everyone involved in both of those bouts received mic time and were able to develop their characters a bit more than usual.
