Titus O'Neil def. Stardust by Count-out
It's cool to see O'Neil finally getting a chance to showcase his skills as a singles competitor. I love The Prime Time Players to death, but there isn't much more for them to do at the moment with The Usos and The Lucha Dragons chasing the WWE Tag Team Championship. He and Stardust had a good match and it was logical to have Stardust lose via count-out considering it would have been foolish to have either guy get beat here. I'm still holding out hope for a Stardust vs. Goldust feud, but there was no indication of that here. Plus, if Darren Young is dealing with personal problems at the moment, then why is he on TV yet not wrestling (though he was in action on Monday's Raw)? I guess that's neither here nor there, just something I found interesting.
Ryback def. Heath Slater
Yes, it was a standard squash match, but I liked how it actually had storyline significance considering Ryback demolished Slater on Raw. I was also surprised Slater was able to score some offense against The Big Guy and wasn't totally annihilated. In the end, Ryback went over as he should have and I'm glad the bout was kept relatively short and sweet for the most part.
Rusev def. Zack Ryder
Back-to-back squash matches? Ouch. Not to say that there was anything wrong with this match, but it would have helped if this was positioned in the opener or at least not directly after Ryback vs. Slater. This was more of the same from the previous bout, but on the bright side, it's nice to see Rusev back from injury already. It's not a major deal, but anyone who can add to the lack of roster depth at the moment helps.
Brie Bella def. Divas Champion Charlotte (Non-title)
Of all the matches Charlotte and Brie have had against each other, this was one of their better encounters in my opinion. It was a pretty well-wrestled match that had a nice pace to it. It also helped that there wasn't an excessive amount of people at ringside with the exception of Alicia Fox. Paige coming down was a pleasant surprise in that WWE doesn't usually further feuds on Main Event, but I could have done without Charlotte getting pinned since it likely won't be addressed again on WWE TV.
I could have done without the two squash matches, but at least they were brief and effective. One gave the returning Rusev a dominant win and the other was a logical follow-up from Raw. O'Neil vs. Stardust wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but the continued singles push of O'Neil is refreshing. The women's match was also enjoyable, making this a decent show on the whole.
