Matt Hardy def. Curt Hawkins
Unsurprisingly, the English audience was red hot for Hardy and his "Delete!" chant, making me want to see him use something similar to his "Broken" persona that much more, especially if Jeff will be out injured for the foreseeable future. Essentially, this was the same squash match we saw from these two a few weeks back, but it was fun while it lasted. Hawkins' massive losing streak continues.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows def. Heath Slater and Rhyno
Needless to say, this was a vast improvement over the Trick or Street Fight these tandems had on last week's Halloween-themed edition of Raw. That was an absolute embarrassment, so this was an instant classic in comparison. In all seriousness, it was a decent matchup with not much exciting about it, but at least Anderson and Gallows picked up the victory. I'm just disappointed in how far they've fallen over the past year.
With this edition of Main Event emanating from England, the crowd was a bit livelier than usual, which was appreciated. As for the featured matches, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary about them. In fact, we've seen both bouts before in recent weeks. On the whole, it was an average episode, but if nothing else, the key moments from Monday's Raw were recapped and are worth watching.
