Rhyno def. Dash Wilder
This is the third straight episode of Main Event that Wilder has been a part of, so it's good that WWE is utilizing him as much as they can while his partner Scott Dawson is out with an injury. He and Rhyno actually faced off two weeks ago and had a decent match, though this wasn't much different. The crowd was into it because they recognize both guys, but they didn't do anything that was too much out of the ordinary.
Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik def. Drew Gulak and Tony Nese
At this point, I honestly think Gulak is better off by himself than being paired with someone like Nese. Gulak actually has a character now with his PowerPoint presentation gimmick, while Nese is an impressive physique and nothing more. Nevertheless, this was a fun little match while it lasted and it was cool to see Dorado and Metalik showcase their skills more than usual. They'd be a great tag team if they weren't relegated to the Cruiserweight division.
While the wrestling on this edition of Main Event was enjoyable on the whole, both bouts have been done before in the past, so I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to watch it. It's a pretty passable episode, yet nothing out of the ordinary for the program. Additionally, this week's Raw was average at best in my opinion, so the Raw recaps are hardly worth sitting through, either.
