The Shining Stars def. Breezango
David Otunga noted on commentary that The Shining Stars have kept a low-profile in WWE since their debut two months ago in order to avoid getting split up in the pending WWE Draft. I'm not sure how exactly that makes sense, but at least he tried to offer an explanation for their absence. This was a weird match pitting two heel tandems against each other and thus the crowd had zero incentive to cheer for either one of them. If nothing else, it was a bout we've never seen before, so at least it was something fresh.
The Usos def. The Ascension
I'm as big of an Usos fan as the next guy, but they will definitely need to develop their character before they can attain any more success. They're still excellent athletes, but they're extremely stagnant at the moment and have been spinning their wheels for a while. The Ascension scored more offense here than I expected them to, but at least it was more than a standard squash match for The Usos.
WWE Superstars and Main Event have been very tag team heavy in recent weeks, which is a nice change of pace from the norm for the time being. Granted, none of these teams mean much right now, but at least we aren't seeing the same matches every week (for now, anyway). Neither of these bouts were particularly memorable, so it was a rather forgettable episode on the whole.
