WWE Superstars Review - March 13, 2014

Alberto Del Rio def. Sin Cara

This is a match we have seen countless times in the past, but they were given a decent amount of time here. Plus, they almost always work well together, so I didn't mind it as much. Sin Cara was able to get in a few of his signature spots and the finishing sequence was well done. The loss didn't do much to harm Cara since he can't get any lower on the card than he already is, but it isn't like the win boosted Del Rio's credibility, either. Del Rio won't be involved in anything meaningful at WrestleMania while I don't expect Cara to be on the card at all.

Dolph Ziggler def. Fandango

Similar to Del Rio and Cara, Ziggler and Fandango always work well together and it was nice to see them get more time than they normally would on Raw or SmackDown. The momentum shifted back and forth between the two competitors throughout the bout and both Ziggler and Fandango looked good coming out of it. The crowd was very much into Ziggler, which made the match all the more fun. It was a nice win for Ziggler even if Fandango doesn't mean much at the moment.

Overall Show

WWE Superstars usually features lower-midcarders or enhancement talents, so the appearances from Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio on this week's show were a nice change of pace. Not only that, but the matches they competed in were fun and made up for all the Raw recaps videos, which also weren't all that bad, either. All in all, it was an above average episode that was enjoyable to sit through this week.
