Natalya def. Summer Rae
I'm not sure whether it's because there is (or was) actual animosity between the two as seen on Total Divas (yes, I'm a regular viewer of the show, spare me), but Natalya and Summer have always worked well together whenever they have gone one-on-one. Summer is quite the character and I was happy to see some of her personality and charisma shine through in this matchup. As for Natalya, I think her in-ring excellence speaks for itself, so this was a treat of a match from two of the Divas division's more underrated athletes.
Zack Ryder def. Tyler Breeze
Ryder and Breeze had an above-average encounter on last week's episode of Main Event and I was thrilled that we were able to see more of their fun chemistry in this match. It felt like more than just a standard singles contest and that both guys were really pulling everything out of their arsenal and then some to put the other away, which is rare for a Superstars match. This is the second time in the past two weeks that Ryder has beaten Breeze, and that's great for Ryder, but it makes me worry for Prince Pretty.
You can't complain about getting two very well-wrestled matches on the same edition of Superstars. Natalya and Summer are two of the Divas division's finest competitors and it was refreshing to see them mix it up and showcase their skills. Ryder and Breeze also had an entertaining match, so along with the replays from a rather enjoyable episode of Raw, this Superstars is worth the watch.
