Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:

By Graham "GSM" Matthews Christian Hosted 'The Peep Show' with Chris Jericho (Kickoff Show) It's been many months since we last saw Christian on WWE TV, so it was good to have him back even if it was in a non-wrestling role. Speaking of such, the commentators made it sound like his in-ring days aren't over yet, so that was encouraging. The interaction between Jericho and Christian was enjoyable and a nice nod to their history together from a decade ago. Randy Orton butchered a few of his lines, but he held his own for the most part. It wasn't a home run of a segment, but it was necessary in providing some last minute build for the Orton-Jericho match for later on in the night. It was also an improvement over any other random match we could have gotten instead. Gold and Stardust def. The Usos to Win the WWE Tag Team Championship On one hand, The Usos kicking off pay-per-views is a smart move in that it kicks off the night on a high note. On the other hand, every subsequent match has the tough task of following it. Gold and Stardust are a freaky duo, there's no doubt about it, but I think their ability to have a great match is often forgotten due to their gimmick. And then there's The Usos, who are always incredible. Put them together and you have yourself a very fun opener. This was the match I was hoping from these two teams months ago and we finally got it. I can't say I'm thrilled with the title change, but as long it leads to Goldust turning on Stardust and Cody Rhodes back to being himself down the line, I'm content. By Graham "GSM" Matthews WWE Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso def. Stardust I was fine with Stardust losing to one of the Uso brothers the first time around because it was a quick win, but this was a more competitive contest and Stardust should not have lost given his past success as a singles competitor. Worse yet, Stardust and Goldust are in desperate need of a victory after suffering various losses to The Usos in recent weeks. As it stands, they don't at all look like legitimate threats to the twin titles going into Night of Champions. United States Champion Sheamus and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Cesaro and The Miz It was a fairly well wrestled match, but we've seen Ziggler and Miz in so many tag matches recently (especially in the last week alone) that I've grown tiresome of them. Cesaro and Sheamus felt like afterthoughts in this match since they don't have as much storyline support behind their feud as Ziggler and Miz do, but they played their parts well. Any heat Miz got from winning his tag match on Main Event dissipated here when he took the pinfall loss for his team. I guess I'm glad the midcard champions didn't lose again, but Miz needed more heat as he prepares to contend for the Intercontinental title in two days. By Greg Lowenthal Hey folks, it's that time of again. Time for my PPV edition of the Lowdown. So it's time to give MY predictions. Here it goes. I feel Rusev will FINALLY lose against Mark Henry. I think Henry is a match for Rusev and he provides a much needed boost of energy for Rusev. Winner: Henry via pinfall. The Diva's Champion Triple Threat match will prove to be a major turning point for all three Divas involved. Nikki Bella, Paige and AJ Lee are dynamic competitors and offer a chance for the belt to either stay with Paige or change hands. Winner: Paige via pinfall or submission and retains the Diva's Champion. |
