The Addiction def. Coast to CoastCoast to Coast have basically been an enhancement team since coming to ROH, so while the outcome was never in doubt, this was a fun little opening contest. Obviously, this was taped prior to Final Battle, but this was a nice momentum boost for The Addiction as they prepare to challenge for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship soon. As for Coast to Coast, I liked the little hook afterward that they have to win their next match or they'll go their separate ways. That's more intriguing than one guy turning on the other, which we always see in wrestling. Shane Taylor def. Eli IsomI'm not particularly sold on Taylor as of now, but he did have a fine showing in the ROH World Television Championship four-way elimination match at Final Battle and this was an effective squash for him that showcased his dominance. We got to know a little bit about his background and motivations not too long ago on Coleman's Pulpit, but he needs a real rivalry to get his singles run on the right track.

#AskGSM Edition #212: Women's Royal Rumble Match, Clash of Champions Fallout, Adam Cole, More12/20/2017 #AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews (and special guest Jason) answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:
Kalisto and Gran Metalik def. The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher by DisqualificationNothing exciting has come out of this rivalry yet, but it has been well-booked thus far with a string of solid matches. Unfortunately, the live crowds have not been following this feud as closely as I have, and thus they have been flat for each of the encounters. This match was no exception to that, despite the good effort from all four men. The non-finish keeps the program alive as well as puts heat back on the heels. Hideo Itami def. Colin DelaneyYes, only one week removed from his return on SmackDown Live, Delaney was already back on WWE TV to be Itami's opponent in his 205 Live debut. Here's hoping we see more of him in the future, he's an old school jobber. As for the match itself, Itami had an impressive outing. A majority of the crowd sat on their hands for it, sadly, but hey, it's better than not using him at all on NXT. Perhaps he'll get over in time with more appearances on Raw.
SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon Confronted SmackDown General Manager Daniel BryanHow Shane would respond to Bryan's actions was the biggest question coming into this show, so it was logical to lead off with this face-to-face encounter. Unfortunately, this lasted way longer than it needed to considering not much was accomplished or furthered, other than Bryan teasing that Shane is slowly turning into his father. I like both Bryan and Shane, but I'm beyond tired of the blue brand centering around the authority figures. WWE really wants us to think that this is leading to a match between the two, and if it doesn't, I guarantee you there will be a lot of disappointed people. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin def. SmackDown Tag Team Champion The Usos (Non-title)I was pretty underwhelmed by their initial encounter last month, so I was glad they had the chance to rebound with this awesome affair that was especially entertaining after the commercial break. Both teams are just so good, and when given an ample amount of time, they shine (as seen here). I would assume Gable and Benjamin beating the champs in non-title action will result in them receiving a shot at the straps soon.
