By Graham "GSM" Matthews With TNA's Bound for Glory pay-per-view this weekend, rumors have been running rampant in the wrestling world that TNA officials are looking to make the show as grand as possible in attempt to bring back the hundreds of thousands of viewers they lost upon their move to Destination America network earlier this year. To do this, they have contemplated bringing in a major free agent to make a surprise appearance at the event. Wrestling fans have speculated that it could be anyone from Rey Mysterio to Goldberg, but according to a credible source from within the organization, TNA is determined to sign WWE's Adam Rose (i.e. Ray Leppan) to a deal. It was Leppan who actually approached TNA about coming over, and because he was fresh off his run on WWE Superstars, they felt he was a "must have." Of course, this would be a breach of his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, but that didn't stop TNA from having Hernandez appear on their show despite still being with Lucha Underground earlier this year. Besides, who reads contracts anymore?

David Otunga Granted JTG's Old Ironclad Contract, Will Remain with WWE Until 2050 (Satire)5/29/2015 By Graham "GSM" Matthews SATIRE -- Last June, the wrestling world was shaken to its very core when JTG's (real name Jayson Paul) near eight year tenure with World Wrestling Entertainment came to an end. He was released along with Yoshi Tatsu, Curt Hawkins, Aksana and a bunch of others who fans were unaware were still on the roster. For a long while, it was rumored that he was signed to a deal that stated he couldn't be released until someone more deserving (or in this case, a more useless wrestler) of the contract came along. It was confirmed by a source that wished to remained nameless that this was true, and that his heir to the throne was none other than David Otunga. JTG, for the many years he was in WWE for, was notorious for being a glorified waste of space on the roster. He remained hidden, and due to that, he survived countless cuts when others such as Drew McIntyre, Evan Bourne and Brodus Clay were fired instead. Having not competed on WWE programming for as long as R-Truth has been irrelevant, his job was secure. That was, however, until he decided to show up at catering one day, was spotted by one of the Superstars, and made the mistake of picking up his phone the following day when he was called of his release. By Graham "GSM" Matthews SATIRE -- After a historic seven days in the world of wrestling, perhaps the biggest news item of the week was the WWE departure of NXT breakout star CJ Parker. With it being widely believed that he'd be the next to called up to the main roster after WrestleMania 31, this came as a shock to many. Instead, that promotion was given to a lesser environmentally aware Adrian Neville (having no respect for the law of gravity), leaving members of the WWE Unvierse to wonder why Parker was never given the opportunity he deserved to headline WWE Main Event and Superstars. It was revealed shortly thereafter that the release came at Parker's request to which management sadly granted. He claimed to have done it all in NXT, from losing to the likes of Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, Solomon Crowe and even the recently returned Alex Riley. With no one left to lose to, Parker took his ball and went home, but also claimed in an exclusive interview with Next Era Wrestling that he wished to take his "hippie ways and go elsewhere where his wishes would be respected." |
