NXT Cruiserweights (Kushida, Isiah "Swerve" Scott, Oney lorcan, Tyler Breeze and Danny Burch) def. 205 Live Originals (Gentleman Jack Gallagher, The Brian Kendrick, Ariya Daivari, Mike Kanellis and Tony Nese) in a 10-Man Elimination Tag Team Match
Kushida was revealed to be the fifth member of the NXT Cruiserweights (to replace the "injured" Lio Rush), even though his entrance video accidentally played before Scott's. Oops! The match itself was very entertaining, and although some of the eliminations were a bit abrupt, that was to be expected when the show runs only a half hour these days. They kept the pace consistent throughout and Scott and Kushida in particular got to shine down the stretch. Gallagher lasting as long as he did was smart since he just returned and has some buzz right now with his new look, but in the end, he fell to the remaining duo of Kushida and Scott.
The 205 Live roster usually wrestle in front of half empty arenas anyway, so this wasn't much different. In all seriousness, this was better than most episodes of 205 Live I've seen recently. There was only one match and nothing more, but that one match was great and had a strong layout. I maintain that 205 Live should be canceled and merge into NXT full-time, but they made the best of a bad situation for this week and put up a fun half hour of wrestling.
