The Miz def. Fandango
I am glad to see Emma on the main roster, but her commentary along with Santino Marella's took away from the action early on. However, they didn't were much of a distraction after the commercial break and played their roles well. The match was nothing to write home about, but it was fine for what it was. It was given good time, but the win doesn't do much for Miz. Wasn't he just a heel on Monday's Raw? At this point, it doesn't even matter.
Alberto Del Rio def. Zack Ryder
As expected, this was your basic squash match, but it was nice to see Ryder get more offense than usual. It was all about Del Rio for the most part, who had an aggressive showing and was put over strong. Del Rio may be boring at times, but he really can be fun to watch in the ring. Also, Ryder was over with audience when doing his normal spots, which was yet another reminder that WWE is just letting his talent go to waste.
Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston def. Curtis Axel (Non-title)
I know I have complained several times as of late about Langston taking the pin in random tag team matches, but having him face the same people each week isn't much better. Whether it is Axel or Fandango, it seems like Langston is always facing the same people. While it was a well worked match, it felt like it dragged on a bit too long. If nothing else, the live crowd was very much into Langston and his offense at the end. He has had a good reign as Intercontinental champion thus far, but he is desperate need of new, fresh challengers.
All of the matches were solid for the most part, but none of them were particularly memorable. They helped fill out the hour nicely, but there isn't anything worth seeking out if you missed the show. Main Event hasn't been worth watching for weeks now, and this episode unfortunately was more of the same. Don't expect much to change with it being WrestleMania season.
