Mojo Rawley def. No Way Jose
This is one of those vintage Main Event matches that I feel like I've seen on this show a million times before. What's worse is that no matter how many times Rawley beats Jose, it doesn't mean anything because it doesn't go anywhere. Rawley has been a mainstay on Main Event for over a year now and has shown zero signs of improvement in that time. I understand the WWE Draft is coming up, but I don't see Rawley benefiting much at all. I remember reading back in June that he re-signed with WWE, so apparently he's content settling for a mediocrity and a good chunk of change.
The Lucha House Party def. EC3 and Eric Young
I wouldn't be surprised if all four of these guys were frustrated with their current position in WWE (Lince Dorado stood at ringside and I don't count him because he recently competed for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Clash of Champions). This is exactly what you would expect it to be with Lucha House Party doing their signature offense before winning fairly quickly. These tag matches are always rushed, which bothers me because Main Event is an hour-long show. Can WWE not afford to give matchups like this more time and skip some of the replays from Raw and SmackDown Live?
Main Event continues to be a show that simply exists and offers nothing of note whatsoever. There are rare occasions where certain matches get to go long and be entertaining, but that hasn't been the case in a while. After last week's decent episode emanating from Madison Square Garden, Main Event was back to the same slump it's been in for years. In short, skip this show and do something more valuable with your time.
