Cedric Alexander def. EC3It's worth noting that EC3 is now coming out like he couldn't care less, and while I realize that's part of his current gimmick seeing as how he can't win a match to save his life, I'm almost positive that reflects how he feels about his current position in the company. These two have had a handful matches on Main Event in recent week and their chemistry continues to get better and better. Alexander shined far more than EC3 did and took a majority of the offense of this matchup, but EC3 was held his own as always. I really, really wish we'd see these guys on Raw more often. Raw Tag Team Champions Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins def. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (Non-title)If you forgot Raw even had tag team champions, I wouldn't blame you whatsoever. Ryder and Hawkins haven't been on Raw in weeks, and neither has most of the division outside of The Revival and The Usos. I feel bad for them because I liked their title win at WrestleMania, but they have done nothing of note since. At any rate, they had a good match with The Good Brothers here and scored a nice non-title win. It also couldn't be more apparent that Anderson and Gallows want out of their contracts.

Brock Lesnar Confronted WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and Universal Champion Seth Rollins; Dolph Ziggler Attacked Kingston and Xavier WoodsCue all the AEW fans saying that Lesnar's new Brock Party gimmick is WWE's answer to Double or Nothing. In all seriousness, I find it hilarious, and if nothing else, it's something different for his stale character. Unsurprisingly, he avoided announcing who he plans on cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase against. Yes, it's a bait-and-switch approach to garner ratings, but I'd rather they hold off on the announcement, anyway. Lesnar waiting until SmackDown Live's debut show on FOX would be ideal in my opinion, but that's not for another five months and I doubt WWE has that type of patience. The remainder of this segment with Kingston, Ziggler and Woods was well done, though it definitely did not need to be as long as it was (and could have even been saved for SmackDown). Shane McMAhon def. Lance Anoa'iMy god, Shane spending what felt like an hour talking about Roman Reigns was a complete waste of time. Their feud bores me to tears, and again, this would have been better off on SmackDown. Shane's brief squash did nothing for me, even if it was cool to see Anoa'i on WWE TV for the first time (apparently he has wrestled for MLW before). That said, Reigns vs. Shane at Super ShowDown feels fitting considering that event is bound to be a disaster as it is.
Adam Page Won the 21-Man Casino Battle Royale to Earn a Future Opportunity at the AEW World Championship (Buy-In Match)While I found the Over Budget Battle Royal from All In to be better booked than this, this was still wisely laid out for the most part. It was cool to see guys like Glacier and Billy Gunn last for a bit, as well as some of the fresher faces like Ace Romero and Jungle Buy, but what I felt worked against this Battle Royal was that with a future world title shot on the line, there were only a handful of competitors who could have realistically won it. Once Page came out at No. 21, it was pretty obvious he was winning, but predictability wasn't necessarily a bad thing in this case. I loved that MJF shined as much as he did before ultimately losing to Page. He is an absolute star. Kip Sabian def. Sammy Guevara (Buy-In Match)I missed this match the first time due standing in line to get a t-shirt (one stand sold out of what I wanted and I had to stand in a whole other line so it was a whole ordeal), but after watching it back on YouTube, I enjoyed it for what it was. They didn't go all out or put on a barn burner or anything along those lines, but it was perfectly fine for a pre-show matchup. Guevara has received way more airtime than Sabian on Being the Elite lately, so the outcome was slightly surprising, but perhaps that was done by design in order to give Sabian some credibility.
Sami Callihan def. Fallah BahhThis would have been a total squash win for Callihan a few months ago, but Bahh has actually been positioned as more of a threat in recent months and has had his fair share of issues with oVe. Bahh held his own here and I liked the chemistry he had with Callihan. They put together a super solid match where the interference from the rest of oVe not only gave Callihan a necessary victory but also protected Bahh in defeat. Impact Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie def. Madison RayneThe last match these two was way too short to be anything special, so at least this was an improvement. That's about the only positive thing I can say about it, because it largely felt average. Valkyrie spent a majority of the matchup on offense and it never seemed to reach that next gear. Rayne has been firing on all cylinders since returning to IMPACT, but this wasn't one of her finest outings. I assume Rosemary will be next to challenge Valkyrie for the gold now that Rayne, Tessa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace have all fallen short.
