Josh Woods def. Eli Isom in a Pure Rules MatchI was wondering why Woods had a Pure Rules match on last week's episode, but then it made sense when he had another one on the Death Before Dishonor Zero Hour pre-show. Katsuyori Shitbata was ringside for this, and post-match, Shibata accepted Woods' challenge for an ROH Pure Championship match next week. I was surprised by how long this was because Isom hasn't been positioned as anyone important in the new Ring of Honor, but it was a well-worked match, nonetheless.

Sanga def. Akira TozawaByron Saxton mentioned on commentary that Indus Sher haven't been in action a lot lately because teams are too afraid to step up to face them. No, it's because WWE doesn't have any plans for them beyond beating enhancement teams. I think they have potential as a monster heel team, but they need to start beating teams that are over with the audience. This was better than nothing, though. It was a solid squash with Tozawa selling nicely for Sanga's offense.
AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy def. AR FoxFox has gotten the occasional title shot on AEW TV since he signed but has primarily been relegated to ROH TV this year. I liked the mini profile package Fox got before this bout and the match itself was entertaining, not unlike most of Cassidy's title defenses throughout this reign. Fox always looks good in defeat, so I'm glad he finally snapped and attacked Cassidy afterward. Hopefully the heel turn gets him on AEW TV more in the future (and what we got from him later was an encouraging sign that'll be the case). As for Jon Moxley laying out Cassidy, I'm curious to see where that leads.
