Rhett Titus def. Shaheem AliThis is the first original match to air in full on ROH TV in forever. I guess it was taped at Center Stage, but it definitely didn't air as part of the Saturday Night at Center Stage event on HonorClub. Unfortunately, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I appreciate the effort from Ring of Honor to make Titus an important player in singles competition again (if ever was one to begin with) with the commentary team playing up how big of a family man he is, but I honestly don't get the hype surrounding him at all. To their credit, Titus and Ali produced a quality contest, but beating Ali really doesn't mean anything. ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions Marty Scurll def. Bandido(From my Saturday Night at Center Stage review...) Although he's one-third of the current World Six-Man Tag Team Champions, sometimes it's easy to forget Scurll is still with ROH, simply because he hasn't been as a top player in the promotion since failing to become ROH World Champion back at G1 Supercard in April. It's obvious he has one foot out the door, but he never ceases to capture the attention of the audience and go all out in his matches. This was a hell of a match as the crowd was electric for all the action, the storytelling was terrific, and both men killed it. I loved that they were given almost 20 minutes, too. Like I said earlier, I'd have no problem with the Villain Enterprises vs. Lifeblood feud lasting a little longer.

Lince Dorado def. Ariya DaivariDaivari tried to convince Dorado weeks ago that he didn't need The Lucha House Party (which made me think there was a chance Dorado might turn heel), but he ended up ignoring him and they finally faced off here. It's been well documented in my reviews of 205 Live that I'm no fan of Daivari and I don't usually find his matches exciting, but I thought he and Dorado put together a decent match. Dorado winning was the right call coming off his loss at Clash of Champions and now hopefully he can move on. Gentleman Jack Gallagher def. The Brian Kendrick by DisqualificationGallagher and Kendrick were supposed to go one-on-one at a few different points in the last month or so, but Gallagher wasn't medically cleared to compete until just last week. This was less about the match and more about the angle that played out afterward with Kendrick blasting both Gallagher and his friend Akira Tozawa with a kendo stick, completing his heel turn in the process. Gallagher and Tozawa were originally rivals two years ago, so I don't know how I feel about them potentially rekindling that rivalry yet again going forward.
The New Day def. Randy Orton and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The RevivalIf it wasn't already clear on Sunday, Kofi Kingston's rivalry with Orton is officially over. Granted, Orton wasn't pinned here, but his team lost decisively and now there's no reason for him to get another shot at the strap. The match itself was very entertaining as all six stars filled the time exceptionally well. I assume Big E and Xavier Woods will go back after the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Hell in a Cell. Then, Brock Lesnar made a surprise appearance and laid out Kingston with an F5, laying the groundwork for their WWE Championship clash on SmackDown's FOX debut show on October 4th. That's a marquee matchup for such an important occasion and I'm psyched to see Lesnar back in action on WWE TV for the first time in over 15 years. Michael Cole Interviewed Erick RowanI haven't been a fan of this storyline with Rowan and Roman Reigns in recent weeks, but they captured my interest when Luke Harper returned during Rowan vs. Reigns at Clash of Champions. Rowan's promo didn't do much for me last week, but he really shined in this sit-down interview and I thought he made the most of the material he was given to work with. I still don't take him seriously as a main event level talent, but at least he's improving from a character standpoint.
Mojo Rawley def. No Way JoseThis is one of those vintage Main Event matches that I feel like I've seen on this show a million times before. What's worse is that no matter how many times Rawley beats Jose, it doesn't mean anything because it doesn't go anywhere. Rawley has been a mainstay on Main Event for over a year now and has shown zero signs of improvement in that time. I understand the WWE Draft is coming up, but I don't see Rawley benefiting much at all. I remember reading back in June that he re-signed with WWE, so apparently he's content settling for a mediocrity and a good chunk of change. The Lucha House Party def. EC3 and Eric YoungI wouldn't be surprised if all four of these guys were frustrated with their current position in WWE (Lince Dorado stood at ringside and I don't count him because he recently competed for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Clash of Champions). This is exactly what you would expect it to be with Lucha House Party doing their signature offense before winning fairly quickly. These tag matches are always rushed, which bothers me because Main Event is an hour-long show. Can WWE not afford to give matchups like this more time and skip some of the replays from Raw and SmackDown Live?
